What We Do

In Boulder, Colorado, homelessness is a complex issue that requires a community-wide response. That's where Feet Forward comes in. We offer a range of programs and services to help individuals experiencing homelessness, with a focus on low-barrier, housing-focused support. Join us in our mission to end homelessness one step at a time. On this page, we'll give you a closer look at what we do, including our weekly community event, peer support program, and our exciting new Mobile Navigation Shuttle.

Tuesdays in the Park

Every Tuesday, year-round, Feet Forward offers a peer-led, low-barrier, housing-focused community event at Central Park, where we offer peer support, navigation services, on-site housing assessments, and direct connections to local service providers. We serve an average of 104 individuals every week within an hour, providing hot high-value meals, health and wellness resources, weather-appropriate clothing, and more.

In 2021, we served 5,200 hot meals, gave away over 3,000 pairs of socks, provided 72 haircuts (seasonal), made 350 connections to local partners, assisted over 150 individuals in the housing lottery and waitlist process, and identified 36 individuals who slipped through system cracks, of which 11 were housed.

Peer Support

Our peer program provides housing-focused support through every step of a person's journey out of homelessness, including aftercare. Our goal is to ensure people transition and adjust to the best possibilities of success. We believe that peer support is essential in building trust and developing relationships with individuals who have experienced homelessness. Our peer support program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, providing the guidance, encouragement, and accountability necessary to achieve long-term success.

We were selected as an exemplar of trust building in homelessness by the Commonsense Institute and The University of Colorado, Denver, in October 2021.
